Mock Board Meeting

A scenario will be set and positions appointed. Each potential Non-Executive will be required to act as a highly qualified Non-executive Director and as such, act challenging questions, provoke debate, observe the other Board Members (their body language, non-verbal prompts) and help to bring the topic to a successful and timely close, as if it were part of a full day’s Board Meeting Agenda with other business to follow and work through.

4. FEEDBACK AND CLOSE

Debrief of the day, how it met expectations, details of the next course and action points.

Thank you to those 24 women board members who attended another successful Master Class held in London yesterday. As is now usual, the highlight was the “Mock Board meeting” which addressed a very serious topic and was great fun. 3. DISCUSSION regarding Strategic Challenges faced by Companies and setting the Non-Executive Directors' expectations. 4. ROLE PLAY – Mock Board Meeting:

Now a Violet favourite. A topic will be picked, a CEO and CFO will be nominated, Mark Mills will be Chairman and you will be the Non-Executive Directors, challenging the Board and working through a topic.

If the Mock Board Meetings from March and April 2012 are anything to go by, after many fits of laughter, everybody will learn a lot!
